Flame Pharma - Director, Business Development-Bio-analytical Job - Europe (to be based in UK, France or Germany)

UK, France, Germany: Salary Circa £50K

Flame Pharma is working alongside a leading Contract Research Organisation in their search for a Director Business Development- Bio-analytical to be based in the UK, France or Germany. With a commitment to quality the Director Business Development - Bio-analytical must assist in ensuring its clients and partners maximise returns on their R&D investments and accelerate the delivery of safe and effective therapeutics to patients.  

The Role:

The Director of Business Development- Bio-analytical will retain business for this leading CRO through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. The successful candidate, will position this organisation as a primary or preferred provider for all Bio-analytical work to be outsourced. This role will liaise between sponsor and company on all business development activities and requirements. Candidates will also be required to obtain firm project/task commitments that must meet or exceed authorisation targets which are established annually by the corporation.

The Person:

Candidates must be educated to degree level or the equivalent in a relevant scientific field (preferably Chemistry). They must possess substantial experience within a CRO environment or pharmaceutical sales with a concentration in Bio-analytical services. The successful Director Business Development - Bio-analytical should have a proven track record at mid and high level contacts, as well as formal sales training. They must also have the ability to manage and fully integrate with Operations, Finance, Bids & Contracts and Marketing, and follow-up to expand relationships both internally and externally and business opportunities. The ability to identify and develop sales leads, professionally present capabilities, manage the sales process through close and handle all aspects of contract negotiations is also expected of the successful candidate.
