Flame Pharma is working alongside a leading Healthcare organisation to appoint an experienced Laboratory Team Leader to join their professional team in Ireland. This new and exciting opportunity will offer the ideal candidate the exciting opportunity to join an innovative, rapidly expanding organisation.

The Role:

As a Laboratory Team Leader, the successful candidate will maintain the lab’s quality management system to meet requirements, managing the raw material and product inspection programmes. In addition, they will manage the critical systems quality batch release, document management and supplier quality assurance activities. Liaising with internal and external auditing bodies they will also be responsible for communication with international sites on quality related issues.

The Laboratory Team Leader will report on the performance of the quality management system and highlight areas for improvement. They will liaise with all departments on quality issues and provide technical support where required and will also be responsible for activities associated with recruitment, budgeting, resource planning, training and development whilst achieving agreed targets in line with business objectives.

The Person:

Applicants must possess a relevant third level qualification, in a science discipline together with considerable medical device/pharmaceutical experience. They must have a proven track record in successfully managing a team and a good working knowledge of ISO 13485, MDD 93/42/EEC and FDA QSRs. Proven experience, and a great track record of QA operations is essential, as are the excellent interpersonal and people management skills required for this role.
