Job Summary

Are you a fully GMC registered doctor/clinical research physician or medical advisor looking to work for one of the World’s largest pharmaceutical organisations as Oncology Medical Advisor?  Flame Pharma is proud to be working alongside one of the World’s leading Pharmaceutical companies for their Medical Affairs division – we need an experienced medical doctor to provide a source of expertise to advise on medical aspects of the conduct of clinical trials, commercial activities and product support, plus act as UK legal signatory for regulatory affairs issues.

Job Title

Oncology Medical Advisor

Background

The Medical Advisor will provide a source of expertise on medical aspects of the conduct of clinical trials, commercial activities and product support, plus act as UK legal signatory for regulatory affairs issues.

Key Responsibilities

• The Medical Advisor will assist in the formulation and planning of UK strategy for the launch of new compounds and life cycle management of marketed products.
• The Medical Advisor contributes to the design and conduct of ICDP, ICMP and domestic clinical trials conducted in the UK/Eire. 
• The Medical Advisor will assist in the prioritisation of projects.
• The Medical Advisor will act as a first point of contact between R&D and commercial function at UK and Global level.
• The Medical Advisor will provide medical support for local and international regulatory activities.
• The Medical Advisor works to schedules and negotiate necessary changes in line with commercial, regulatory and development needs.
• The Medical Advisor manages and assesses information to provide high level technical and medical input into strategic and tactical planning.
• The Medical Advisor leads author of final reports for clinical studies and to manage the subsequent investigator publication of multinational and domestic clinical studies.
• The Medical Advisor provides appropriate medical advice on marketed products and clinical trials for investigators, prescribers, pharmacists and members of the public outside normal office hours. 

Qualifications and Experience

• The Medical Advisor must be a fully registered medical practitioner.
• Previous experience as a physician in the Pharmaceutical Industry would be an advantage.
• Member of recognised medical organisation.
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness.
• Broad-based clinical background.
